Early Excitement | Auto-Buy Authors and the Far-Away ’18s

Auto-Buy Authors and Far-Away '18s.png

Note: This post was pre-written in August as I am currently away at school. At the time of writing, all of these books had yet to be released.

I briefly started including anticipated releases and new books on my radar in my Month in Review posts. But, I found that I had too much fun chatting about them for only a small section in those posts. So, I return to my Early Excitement posts! Instead of only talking about next month’s new releases, though, I’m including whatever upcoming books grabbed my attention recently (which were a lot)! I apologize, there’s no order to the release dates for these books, either. Oops.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas to all those that celebrate! If not, then Happy Holidays! I hope you all have a lovely day spent with family and friends and the perfect read. I was going to say by the warm fire, but where I am right now it’s about 60 degrees Fahrenheit, so, no fire needed! Also, I’m writing this post on Christmas Eve, but I’ll most likely take to Twitter sometime Christmas day to chat with everyone. So, now on to the final day of Top 10 of 2015! Continue reading “MERRY CHRISTMAS! & Top 10 of 2015 | Books I’m Looking Forward to in 2016”

Top 10 of 2015 | Best Book Boyfriends

top10_horizontal

It’s Christmas Eve! What better way to celebrate the holidays than with a list of hot, fictional boys? I know what (or should I say who) I’m wishing for under the tree tomorrow…

All of my boyfriends on this list came into my life in 2015 when their books were released. They’ve endured through to the end of this year, beating out many possible competitors, for the very special place in my fangirl heart. Oh, and I can’t seem to find words to express my love for these men, therefore I’ve resorted to gifs.

Mini Review (Because I Can’t Find the Words to Describe My Feels): The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West

Publisher: HarperTEEN
Release Date: May 5th, 2015
Series: N/A
Pages: 352
Format: Paperback
Source: Bought
Genre(s): Contemporary Romance
Synopsis from Goodreads:

When Gia Montgomery’s boyfriend, Bradley, dumps her in the parking lot of her high school prom, she has to think fast. After all, she’d been telling her friends about him for months now. This was supposed to be the night she proved he existed. So when she sees a cute guy waiting to pick up his sister, she enlists his help. The task is simple: be her fill-in boyfriend— two hours, zero commitment, a few white lies. After that, she can win back the real Bradley.

The problem is that days after prom, it’s not the real Bradley she’s thinking about, but the stand-in. The one whose name she doesn’t even know. But tracking him down doesn’t mean they’re done faking a relationship. Gia owes him a favor and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend’s graduation party — three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.

Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into a real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her new-found relationship.

my rambles

There has not been a book by Kasie West that I haven’t felt the need to gush over, and The Fill-In Boyfriend was no exception. If you’re in need of an adorable, unlikely romance that will put a smile on your face, then you’re in for a real treat!

I couldn’t have read the book at a better time, as I had just gone to my prom (dateless, of course). I absolutely loved the way that Gia and fill-in Bradley (I won’t spoil his name because if you read the book, you’ll know it’s important) first met, and their interactions throughout the book.

Basically, the two of them are so freaking cute that I physically didn’t put the book down for want to keep reading the high levels of fluff and adorableness that were oozing from The Fill-In Boyfriend‘s pages.

As you can tell from the title of this review, I don’t really have words to write because all I can really think of when I turn my brain to this book is: CUTE SWEET SWOON ADORABLE I WANT THAT BOY I WANT THIS RELATIONSHIP THIS BOOK IS PERF KASIE WEST I LOVE YOU. [Cee has written a wonderful post on the syndrome I’m having more and more often which is the “I love you too much to review you syndrome.”]

So, that’s pretty much all I have to say to you about this book other than READ IT. *throws book at your face*

Early Excitement: May 2015 (THE MONTH WHEN ALL THE BOOKS COME OUT!)

Early Excitement

ALL THE BOOKS are being released this May. Well, at least all of the ones that I’m OVER THE MOON WITH EXCITEMENT about. Seriously, though. ALL THE BOOKS.

May 5th

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas | The Heir by Kiera Cass | The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West

These three books are enough to make me flail like the crazy fangirl that I am. I CAN’T WAIT for ACoTaR just like the rest of the world, but I’m also meeting Sarah J. Maas SOON (May 16th) so I’M FREAKING OUT. LIKE, IT’S SARAH J. MAAS PEOPLE! I’m really interested to see where Kiera Cass takes The Selection series, as originally it was supposed to be a trilogy. And Kasie West’s contemporaries are always at the top of my most anticipating when they are coming out!

May 19th & May 26th

Off the Page by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer | Illusionarium by Heather Dixon | The Cage by Megan Shepherd | P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han

I read Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and her daughter shortly after it came out and loved it. Ever since I’ve been waiting to hear if there was going to be a sequel or companion, and when I saw that there WAS, I was freaking out! Illusionarium and The Cage are both by authors I have read and previously adored, but they’ve been getting very mixed reviews. I’m still super excited, but I probably will wait until I read more reviews until I pick those up. THEN P.S. I STILL LOVE YOU COMES OUT PEOPLE. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. MORE PETER K!!!

Those are the books that I’m fangirling over for May 2015. What books are you impatiently waiting to get your hands on?
