I’m back for another Week in Review post! Two weeks in a row? Let’s keep this happening!
As you could probably guess by the title of this post, my life is continuing to be crazy. With what, I can’t quite pinpoint. School, art, errands, the normal day to day things I suppose. I had to do a reality check when I realized that I have just over 100 days until I graduate high school, and just over 150 until I move to college. The days are going by so fast!
Anyway, this past Tuesday was the Season 5 finale of Teen Wolf, and I cried, people. Any other Teen Wolf fans want to cry over the wait to Season 6 with me? The ending was just so happy, and it made my heart happy as a result. ❤
I didn’t get as much reading done as I did last week, but I did read 2 books (as of when I’m writing this post Saturday morning). I finished The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead and All the Feels by Danika Stone. I enjoyed both of them, but they weren’t anything special for me. My review for The Glittering Court will be up early next week, and my review for All the Feels will be on Andye’s blog closer to the release date in June!
I’m just starting Girl in the Blue Coat by Monica Hesse, which I’m SO excited for. This weekend I’m planning on getting lots of reading done, as I have…wait for it…NO HOMEWORK! I can’t believe I can say that, but it’s true and I’m taking advantage of it! Therefore I’m hoping to read a couple more April releases (I’ve got plenty to choose from): Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan, No Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista, A Fierce and Subtle Poison by Samantha Mabry, or Two Summers by Aimee Friedman. Let me know which one you think I should read after I’ve finished Girl in the Blue Coat! There’s a little bit of everything between those four books.
I acquired two new books this week, meager in comparison to last week’s haul. I bought Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee, which I’ll be reading as a part of my final exam in AP Lit. And I also go an unsolicited ARC of A Hundred Hours of Night by Anna Woltz from Scholastic (Thank you! You all at Scholastic are too good to me!).
*I would like to apologize for this horrid photo. My book photography definitely needs work.*
Oh, look! Improvement!
Outstanding posts from around the blogosphere this past week (a very small number because I haven’t really been reading many posts lately, ugh!):
- Mishma @ Chasing Faerytales talks mood reading.
- Cait @ Paper Fury discusses not recommending your favorite books.
- Giselle @ Perks of Being a Reader shares the stages of mourning the death of fictional character.
This isn’t a post, but I wanted to highlight all that is Fierce Blogging. It’s a brand new blog that I can tell will be tons of help to me with mine. It was created by Jessica of Bookish Serendipity and focuses on all things behind the scenes when it comes to blogging.
And this past week on Books & Cleverness:
- I reviewed Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton. This is a must-read fantasy!
- I also participated in the blog tour for In Real Life by Jessica Love with a review, playlist and excerpt!
Be sure to let me know which books I should be moving up to the top of my TBR for April releases! How was your week?
I still have to watch season five of Teen Wolf. I’m really bad at keeping up with tv shows, so I just wait for them to come out on dvd or all the episodes are out online
I am normally too, but with Teen Wolf I’ve kept up pretty well!
I really want to watch Teen Wolf, so many people love it and I’m thinking of jumping onto the bandwagon! ;D I really want to read Go Set a Watchman but I’m scared it’ll decrease my love for certain characters from TKAM, as I’ve heard the characters have changed quite a lot. >.<
YES, JUMP ON THAT BANDWAGON KYRA! And I wasn’t planning on reading GSAW either, but school dictates that I need to.
